"We are doing special sessions with specific work with some players. Hopefully he can train today and then we will see. "It depends on his reaction after the session and then again tomorrow. I think he can be part of the squad and maybe he can play some minutes, but I can't guarantee how much. "It's the same for [Alvaro] Arbeloa and [Daniel] Agger. We have two more sessions before we have to decide." Fellow midfielder Albert Riera will not play due to suspension, but Benitez is remaining positive ahead of the game. "We have known that Riera will be suspended and we have two or three options in that position for this match."
The world is waiting to see if Liverpool striker Fernando Torres will be in the starting lineup when The Super Team of the World Real Madrid takes the field at Anfield on Tuesday night.
Benitez has been very noticeably secretive and I'm not really sure what the reason is for. I have a feeling that Torres will not be in the line up and that Rafie is using this all as a distraction. Look for Liverpool to try and build up pressure through Steven Gerrard.
However, all bets are off if Real and Robbin are able to put one in the back of the net. Liverpool plays a counter attacking style. If Robbin gets a goal, which I think will happen, look for Benitez to immediately put Torres in. And don't forget, El Nino used to play for Atletico Madrid, so you know he wants in on this one. I see Liverpool going through.
I am starting to have second doubts about Chelsea's chances. Drogba looks insane lately, and Chelsea is playing at an extremely high level, but Juve has something to prove. Look for Alessandro and Amauri to have a big day, but Chels still goes through.
Goal.com is reporting:The Reds lead 1-0 on aggregate following the first leg at the Bernabeu, while Fernando Torres could hand them a further boost by being fit in time to play a part in the fixture.
"Fernando is training but not in the full sessions," manager Rafa Benitez told Liverpool's official website.
Should be a great day, I hope everyone enjoy's the matches.
