Some of us here think maybe this thing is getting a little over the top...
During the week, superstar Gangsta rapper, and BbtN regular Joaquin Phoenix performed in front of a live audience at a Miami nightclub. The gig didn't exactly go as planned. Three minutes into one of the best rap songs of all time, Joaquin lept into the audience to give a private concert to a lucky clubgoer. The video is amazing. Not for the fight, but because it shows that this guy has talent, real talent.
We here at BbtN.com are a little torn in whether or not Joaquin's antics are the actual thing. Some of us think that he has legitimately lost his mind, and others think that maybe it's just one-big hoax ala Andy Kaufman
Accesshollywood.com reports:
“What’s your f*****g problem?” Joaquin asked.
Joaquin then motions for the heckler to join him up on stage.
The new rapper then continued to call out the audience member, announcing over the mic, “So, we have a f*****g a*****e in the audience… I got a million dollar f*****g backing account, what do you got b***h?”
Joaquin then dropped the mic and jumped off the stage, going into the audience after the heckler.
It is not clear in the video if a physical alteration occurred between the former actor and the unidentified audience member, but security can be seen swarming the audience as people flee from the commotion.
The DJ attempted to save the moment by playing music as the audience chanted, “Joaquin! Joaquin! Joaquin!’” as security dragged the “Two Lovers” star away.
According to Radar, before the heckler incident, Joaquin kept the audience waiting for almost four hours, not showing up on stage until around 2 AM and performed lyrics that were barley audible
And from another angle
One good thing to come out of all of this, someone actually cared enough to ask Gwinnie Paltrow her opinion about something. When asked if she had any advise for her former co-star and his budding rap career, Little Gwinnie said:
“What advice would I give to Joaquin?” she laughed. “Hmm … maybe to go live in the projects for a few years to get some authenticity, maybe.”
Huh, you think she gave her husband the same advise. Gwinnie, you pretentious SOB, you wouldn't know great talent if it hit you in the face.
